Role: Broker Development Manager

1. Briefly explain your role
I am the Broker Development Manager for the South West region, including South Wales. My role involves establishing, developing and enhancing strong broker relationships with Close Brothers. I am the first point of contact for the 35 brokers in the region and I am on hand to offer assistance where required, from credit submissions through to pay outs.
2. What do you enjoy most about you role?
I like the variety that the role brings. No two days are the same and no two proposals are the same. I can be visiting a broker or a customer one day, or working from the office and speaking to many different brokers the next, or ditching the heels for a hard hat and wellies to do an on-site asset inspection.
3. How would you describe your work ethic?
I am very conscientious and strive to deliver service excellence in all that I do. I also believe in having a little fun and banter along the way, getting that work life balance is essential.
4. If you could be an animal what would you be and why?
Probably an Elephant, they are big, strong, never forget and they are always the topic of conversation in the room!
5. If you weren’t in work now, what would you be doing?
I would be finishing the renovations on my house and enjoying the garden; or catching a plane to a far-flung destination in search of the sun.

I would like to nominate Maria Potts. She has a wealth of knowledge; it would be good to hear a little more about her.
