Meet... Louise Tabor

Louise tells us a bit about herself and her role in the business...

Louise Tabor

Name: Louise Tabor
Role: Office Manager/PA
Length of time with business: Seven years and six months

1. Briefly explain your role

My role is Personal Assistant and Office Manager for Close Brothers Business Finance based at the Hessle office.  My roles include supporting the management team, managing the premises, health and safety, business analysis work, risk reports and managing all internal and external events. I am also a Vision & Values ambassador for Close Brothers Business Finance, this involves managing all charity events for the division looking at new and better ways to improve office processes in all new initiatives and project management.

2. What do you enjoy most about you role?

I would say the event planning side. Everyone in the business works extremely hard so when I plan the internal events it is rewarding to see them all relaxed and enjoying themselves. Although I can’t be held responsible for how they feel the next morning!

3. How would you describe your work ethic?

With changing roles a few times since starting with Close Brothers, I have always had a positive attitude and respected everyone I work with. By putting these together with hard work, you can achieve the job you set out to do! Then go home, relax and do it all again.

4. If you could be an animal what would you be and why?

My dog, Rosie – she is walked, eats regularly and gets lots of attention. What more do you need! Plus we rescued her from Spain so she got to spend six months in sunny Sucina.

5. If you weren’t in work now, what would you be doing?

I try to make the most of my annual leave and go abroad (I pretty much refuse to book a day's holiday unless it involves sunshine).  If not somewhere in the sunshine then I would probably be at the gym so I could go home, eat pizza and drink gin with the husband.

6. Which of your colleagues would you like to nominate to feature next in meet the team and why?

Mark Gilman – I worked alongside Gilly when I spent some time as a Broker Development Manager a couple of years ago.  Gilly is a great character and I think people would be interested in what is involved in his role.
