Close Brothers seeking the next generation of top-quality sales people

Training Academy launched for dynamic self-starters

CLOSE Brothers has launched an intensive programme that will see successful participants graduate to become Area Sales Managers in Close Brothers Asset Finance after two years.

The “Training Academy” will be a centre of excellence and will open its doors at the company’s new head office in Wimbledon in September 2015.

The training will comprise a mixture of classroom-based learning with some of the UK’s best sales trainers, and ‘on the road’ mentoring with existing Close Brothers sales managers.

Mike Randall, CEO of Close Brothers Asset Finance said: “We are delighted to announce this new initiative, in which we have made a significant investment. Our people really are the best asset we have, and so actively seeking the next generation of brilliant sales people is a means to ensuring we meet our own exciting growth potential over the coming years.

“We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated candidates that have a passion for sales. No prior experience in sales or asset finance is necessary, just a commercial awareness and a desire to work in the finance industry.

“The programme, which partners each participant with a dedicated mentor, will fast track their knowledge of our customers, products and markets to ensure that they can hit the ground running as a trainee Area Sales Manager when training is complete.”

There are 30 places for the September 2015 intake to the Training Academy, with participants spread across the Transport, Print, Construction and Industrial Equipment divisions of the business.

“Our customer relationships are what sets us apart from the competition, and we’re very proud of the role we’re playing in supporting small and medium sized businesses across the UK to achieve their goals,” added Mr Randall.

“Joining the Training Academy will not only give participants the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry, it will also allow them to make a real difference to people’s lives by allowing them to invest in their business.”

The deadline for applications is 12th June 2015. For further information or to apply online please email or visit
