Flexpress secures new commercial printing press with funding from Close Brothers Asset Finance

Close Brothers Asset Finance has provided funding for Flexpress’s new commercial printing press* in a Hire Purchase agreement. This latest deal continues a long-standing and strong partnership between the firms.

Founded in 1989, Leicester-based Flexpress has grown to become one of the most respected printers in the Midlands.

Matt Brown, Area Sales Manager at Close Brothers Asset Finance Finance’s Print division, said: “We’ve worked with Flexpress for a number of years now, including through the pandemic, and given our strong working relationship, it made sense for us to work together with them on acquiring this new press, which will play a key part in their growth ambitions as they grow their presence in the book printing market

“Flexpress know what they want to achieve and have clear goals; being their financial partner continues to be exciting and dealing with them is a pleasure.”

Steve Wenlock, Managing Director for Flexpress, added: “We bought the machine to increase capacity and make everyone’s lives easier – we’re anticipating it will save a great deal of time because it requires less downtime and is far more automated.

“We are really pleased to again have Close Brothers Asset Finance on board as our funder because, with their background in print and packaging, they are able to adopt a partnership approach, providing bespoke deals that work well for us.”
