UK SME business owners voiced their concern that what they wanted and what they were going to get from the Brexit process was going to be very different. The survey of 900 firms conducted in April 2019 showed that while four in 10 respondents wanted the UK to leave the EU, only 27% thought it would actually happen; a further 27% wanted the UK to remain in the EU while just 12% thought this would be the eventual outcome.
