Finance agreed for private ambulance business - Spark Medical
Spark Medical is a leading provider of Ambulance Services and Event Medical Services based in Merseyside, which was established six years ago by Andy and Matt Richards.
The business provides private ambulance services across the North-West for a number of NHS Trusts including North West Ambulance Service, Liverpool Heart & Chest, The Cheshire & Mersey Critical Care Network and Wirral University NHS Foundation Trust.
Spark Medical are also a leading provider of event medical services, working in partnership with ACC Liverpool Group, Chester Race Company and BTR Liverpool providing a full dynamic of event medical provisions.
A new contract
After winning a new NHS contract in the North-West, Spark Medical needed to expand their fleet of 35 vehicles by purchasing 3 new ambulances.
Andy and Matt met with Dan Lynch, Area Sales Manager for Close Brothers Asset Finance. Dan has worked with Spark Medical for a few years and in that time has come to understand the business and their needs.
The three ambulances that the business was looking at purchasing were 2021 Renault Master LM35s. These state-of-the-art ambulances include all of the latest technology, each of them only having a few miles on the clock.
The result
Dan was able to help secure funding for Spark Medical through the use of a hire purchase agreement. Hire Purchase enables a business to acquire an asset whilst paying for it in instalments over an agreed timescale, it allows the business to spread the cost of their investment over the life of the asset, making it easier to budget.
As a result, the business was able to purchase the three new ambulances which has given them the capacity to fulfil their new NHS contract.
