Snow ploughs and blowers financed – Grant Ritchie Agricultural Services
Based in Gorebridge, Scotland and operating for over 50 years as a family farm, Grant Ritchie Agricultural Services (trading as Ritchie Grit & Clear) has diversified to provide a wide range of services including snow clearing and gritting.
A new contract
Grant Ritchie Agricultural Services currently has the snow clearing contract for all of South-West Scotland. They have also recently gained the snow clearing contract for North-East Scotland. As a result of this new contract, Grant needed some extra equipment.
The new equipment needed was five Cuthbertson snow ploughs and four Cuthbertson blowers. The new ploughs and blowers would be attached to Grant’s fleet of tractors in order to aid snow clearance.
To help fund the purchase of the new ploughs and blowers, Grant approached Hamilton Rankine, Regional Sales Manager for Close Brothers Asset Finance. Hamilton worked with Grant to understand the business and find a finance product that would fit their needs.
Using a Hire Purchase agreement, Hamilton was able to put together a plan to fund the new ploughs and blowers. This allowed the business to acquire the new equipment now whilst being able to pay for it using a structured repayment plan.
A suitable finance agreement
With the acquisition of the new ploughs and blowers, Grant can continue to fulfil his new and existing contracts, clearing snow in the South-West and North-East of Scotland.
